The Green Gathering

1st - 4th August, 2024 The UK's original off-grid, grassroots festival, The Green Gathering is a showcase of low-impact living filled with music, arts, activism, spoken word, crafts and so much more. Built from the ground up with green principles embedded at its core, this festival offers four days of exploration, imagination and self-discovery, combined with unforgettable acts and opportunities to learn life-long skills. We’re 100% powered by wind, sun and people. Party all night, and then wake up and put the world to rights.

Expect to See

5 solar powered stages filled with a wide variety of both established and up-and-coming eclectic acts, including the Speakers' Forum with leading activists and thinkers and a variety stage with spoken word, cabaret and comedy. The Campaigns field hosts discussions and workshops, bringing together activists and academics to raise awareness around diverse social and environmental justice issues. A jam-packed Crafts area keeps traditional skills alive, teaching everything from black-smithing to stone-carving, felting to upcycling and much more. Over in Permaculture, learn from hands-on experts demonstrating how to use resources wisely, and in the Hill Village, discover new ways of off-grid living from those who've done it all their life. There's also the chance to get hands on experience in alt-tech at the Reource Hub. Our Healing Fields offer space to tend to both mind and body with movement classes and meditation workshops, and you'll be well fed the weekend through with a range of utterly delicious (and affordable) vegetarian and vegan stalls. Plus, a dedicated Kids’ Area and Teens’ Space provide young ones with the chance to explore, learn, play and perform, and family-friendly activities are abundant across the festival site.
