Bring Your Mates Payment Advice
On our platform, if you are listed as an influencer or media partner - you can receive income from our event partners for using our platform. Depending on how you use the platform, there are two ways of getting paid
Getting Paid As An Influencer
As an influencer, on our platform it is completely free for events to approach you and pitch their event. You can choose to cover, or attend their event in return for free tickets, or travel expenses. Or, if you choose to charge for your services, you can do so all within the platform.
Please use the chat function, to discuss prices and content agreements with an event. Once you have agreed a price, you can "Submit an Offer" to the event, who will then be able to make payment. We have built within our platform, a price negotiation tool. Once the event has received your offer, they will be able to send back a counter-offer, which you can agree to, or counter once again until you come to an agreement. We recommend you take into account the event when submitting a price, as each events marketing budget will vary.
Taking payments off-platform are strictly prohibited - so head to your account settings and register a bank account to take payment through our system. Off-platform payments, such as paypal, wise or direct invoices - will be monitored and you will be removed from the platform. All transactions will be subject to a 15% marketplace fee from Bring Your Mates. This will be sent via invoice or automatically charged to the payment
Getting Paid As a Media Partner
If you're representing a publication or joining as a freelance journalist - Events can pay you a one-off fee in order to "Pitch" their event to you.
After Bring Your Mates has received a commission, this amount will be paid to you directly. Your obligation in return for this payment, is to respond to the pitch within 7 days. If you fail to do this, the payment will be refunded and repeated failures will result in removal from our platform. You are not obliged to cover, or attend the event if you do not feel it's suitable for your publication(s), but you are obliged to respond and provide a reason for your answer.
You will need to register a bank account in order to receive paid submissions. So head to your account settings and register a bank account to take payment through our system
