I have been running York Calling for about ten years, and was a music journalist for other outfits before that. I often go to shows and write music reviews daily, that includes album and EP reviews. When writing about music, I look for what's interesting about the music and what's interesting about the artist that will engage readers. I like to focus on how music makes me as the listener feel rather than its technical details, and enjoying sharing the music's deeper story.
